BACKGROUND
My Story:
Born in Cambodia, my family and I immigrated to the United States in the early 1980's and settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I moved to Los Angeles, California in 2001.

My journey into psychology is rooted in my personal experiences as a survivor of the genocide and killing fields that took place in Cambodia. As a young child, I witnessed the horrors of war and its devastating impacts on people. My traumatic experiences have provided me with a unique perspective that includes a gratitude for life and profound appreciation for the field of mental health. I understand that everyone faces their own challenges and am dedicated to applying my knowledge and experiences to help others find their path forward in life.

Professional Experience:
My work in diverse settings includes non-profit organizations, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and private practice. This has provided me with a wealth of understanding of human psychology across different life and cultural backgrounds.

I am interested in addressing emotional challenges through Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) approaches that emphasizes the exploration of how you think as it relates to how you feel and view the world around you. Each person is different, so therefore I utilize specific modalities to best meet individual needs.

Personal Life:
I am married with 2 children. My family and I live a very active lifestyle. I enjoy biking, golfing, swimming, and running.
